I wish I could do that. Im stuck at work in a very negative environment today with all the layoffs, morale is very low, people are laying low, not talking, not walking around. Its very sad. The company I work for has been around for over 100 years. They WERE a family owned and operated local newspaper that was such a great place to work. Great benefits, great growth and potential for personal growth as well, when I took the job. A year later we got bought by a corporation and the economy going downhill, they took away soooo many benefits, let good people walk away, just basically has gone downhill from the day we got bought. Now layoffs. We were told they had a STRICT no layoff policy, but you could see this coming. Its just very sad. Most people here have been here 20-30 years (some are only in their 30s and have been here 20 years). The people laid off do not know how to be in the job market or probaby do not even have a resume. I have been laid off 3x in my life. To me, its survivable. Sometimes even necessary to help people kickstart themselves into a better life/job for them. Its the not same company it was for over 100 years and that has disheartened so many who have given this place their life, their whole working career. Its very sad!

I leave here at 5pm and have exactly enough time to get to my college for my 6pm class that goes until 9pm. Wednesdays are a tough day for me.
