the white must be from the maltese and the black genes from the yorkie.
they all had yorkie faces except for one .. one little black morkipoo had a flatter face.. i think his face was smooshed during growth in the womb. like the flat face on the s**tzu..
i prefer the cuter fuller face and nose..
i would not even consider breeding a s**tzu with anything.. jmo
I appreciate your explaining how you breed for certain traits but I'm still confused as to why Butterfly Kisses thought that switching to a different Maltese mom would get rid of the black. With Maltese being only white, any other color would have to come from the stud, if the Maltese was pure bred. Am I missing something here? Guess it really doesn't matter as I only breed Yorkies anyway. I was just curious as to her rationale in switching from one white mom to another white mom. Seems like it would be the stud (Yorkie) contributing any color other than white.
