I've not tried that particular product, but I did get a bark collar for Daisy. It doesn't shock, but what it does is lets out a shrill beep if she barks loud enough. She only had to wear it a few times and after that, anytime she barked, I would just show her the collar and she stopped.

I keep it put up most of the time and don't have to bring it out, but every now and again, she turns into Miss Barky Butt. When she's barking I just hold it up and instant quiet!

Little barks and barking a bit while playing wern't a problem, the problem was her sitting at my feet barking non stop and me not being able to figure out what she wanted. I would try everything, taking her out to potty, playing with her, food, water,...I just couldn't figure it out. I finally came to the conclusion that she was just a barker and it was rubbing off on Abby.
I'm so glad we got the collar.
