No. It's not a scam alert. The way it works is this....
Let's say I put my words on a website and code it to be 'Monotype Corsiva' font....if your computer has Monotype Corsiva installed on it, then it will display Monotype Corsiva. If not, it will use a default font in displaying it. So it doesn't matter what it is coded to display, if you don't have it you will never see it.
I have a gazillion fonts. I use them so much in my business, plus...I have to admit to being a fontaholic as well.
