But, hindsight is 20/20, or so they say. All of the pups will have to be DNA'd to determine which pup goes with which daddy. To make sure that their registration and your records are correct, to be able to present the new owners with the accurate information at IF the borrowed stud did sire any of the litter, to fulfil whatever end of the arrangement that was made with his owner.
Just chaulk this up as a lesson learned so that you know how to prevent this type situation in the future.
Everyone has given very good advice!

You DO NOT want to register these puppies unless you DNA both studs, the dam, and each of the puppies and let AKC let you know which puppy goes with which sire. This will cost you a minimum of $105 for the parents then $35 per puppy if you "prepay" for your DNA kits. They are $40 each if you do not prepay. I have actually known of some show breeders to breed one female with two males intentionally, but with the full knowledge of AKC and the understanding that the DNA would be used to determine the sire of each puppy.

It will be worth paying for the DNA if you have very nice puppies - if not you just need to sell them to people with the full knowledge of this mistake.

Making a mistake doesn't make anyone a bad person - it's what you do with the mistake that determines what kind of person you are.
