Prices do tend to be a bit higher in California with the bottom line being about $1200 for a decent yorkie and the average being about $2200 or so. If you are looking to get one from out of the state it is certainly possible but it really all depends on what you are looking for. I bought one of mine from Texas and had a great experience.

Smaller, cuter females are more wherever you look. There is a great little breeder in Covina that has adorable pups and they are around $2200.

Do you know what you want yet? When I was searching for Ava I told breeders I was looking for a healthy tiny female with small, well set ears, big eyes, short snout, a compact body, great full coat and a spunky personality!!! I was lucky and got it all because I was patient and didn't make an impulse buy with the first puppy I saw. If you PM me I can put you in touch with her breeder as she has friends who also breed for that "look" if that is what you like.
