Coccidia rears its ugly head Well while getting ready for Pantera to have her spay next week, it was discovered that she has Coccidia. I am forever creeped out by this parasite. I am also broke in the wallet by this parasite! I am treating all my dogs and the cat so that is one rottie, one Cairn, two yorkies and a cat with $80 dollars to round it to an even number worth of medicine.
I have cleaned all crates with ammonia and flooring the best I can but I have to tell you I am still creeped out. She has been bathed twice; once because I wanted her bathed and once because she asked for one. Yes, my yorkie will beg to get in the shower with me and be bathed. She is the only dog I have ever had that does this. The goofy part is she usually does need one when she does this because she has rolled in something or has a foul smell. But yet, I am creeped out.
If anyone has ever dealt with this and was creeped out please let me know what you did to calm down. I have dealth with fleas and tapeworms before and never was creeped out like this.
One this is for sure...I will never ever again buy bird seed and feed birds in my yard like I did all summer! We have never had this problem until I decided to feed birds. |
