Since he chewed through the onesie he needs an e-collar. The vet should've given him one but you can get them at the pet store. Honestly, maybe I am overly paranoid but because it is very unhealthy and unsafe for him to have access to his stitches (he could try and pull them out), I would hold him until you can get a collar.
