I totally agree with you about them being there all night. That is something that has always made me skittish about them being left overnight. I always had these thoughts that someone could break in and take them or there could be a fire or any number of things could happen...they never have, though. The only answer I can offer is to attempt to find a vet that will let you take your little one home that evening. There are some that do that. I see a number of people on here do that. The other thought I have on that is that I'm not certain that is the best thing for them. They are in a cage at the vet's and I wouldn't doubt that they are drugged to keep them still overnight, therefore they can't hurt themselves as they could possibly do at home. I'd like to see what others have to say. I was never able to bring any of mine home the same day, either. I will soon have to face this with Kacee. It's been 14 years since I have been through it, but I can still remember the tears in leaving Muffin.
