Yes he should definitely have teeth by 6 weeks. Are you sure that she is being honest about his age. sometimes breeders tell you they are older to make you think they are really small.

If he really is 6 weeks and doesn't have teeth i would fnot take him without a vet check.

Also you need to wait anothe 4 to 6 weeks before taking him home. Yorkies that are taken from their mothers too soon have a lot of issues.

by 10 to 12 weeks he will be eating kibble and will have been socialized by his mother. If the breeder is letting him go sooner then she does not have the best interest of the puppy in mind.

meanwhile, use the time to do more research on the problems connected with taking them too early. hypoclycemia being the biggest one. They can die in their sleep from that.
I hate to disagree here and i am not being disagreeable But lots of puppies do not have their teeth at 6 weeks - at least the front ones - he may have some through on the back and that is why most mama's will continue to nurse till they are nearly 8 weeks or so - Mine nurse till they are 7 to 8 weeks of age and are eating soaked kibble also and by 8 to 10 weeks have their teeth and eat dry kibble ( some what ground up )
She said she was leaving him there yet and she should leave him there till he is a minimum of 10 weeks and 12 is better for the puppy.

She said she was new so lets not go jumping on her to hard - lets try to help her and hopefully educate her - after all - we all had to learn .
