I'm going through the same thing. From what I've read, you should withhold food for 24 hours and let their systems recover. I'm finding that more difficult to do than it sounds. They give me that "I'm starving!" look. After that, feed them bland food until their system recovers. White rice and boiled chicken or boiled lean hamburger.

At least that's what I've read. As I said, I'm struggling with the same issue.
