I had this happen to me about 6 months ago on a little female Shih Tzu I bought. I had already made plans to spay so it was not an issue but I felt robbed The breeder said it was not a problem on her end but of the breeder of her male. SO they had to retest the other ladies dog as she had 2 males at the time. They put a hold on my females paperwork until they ahd retested the grandise as well as other males in the home. They must have gotten it straightened out because about 6 months later they reinstated her papers and it was in fact another male in the home that was the grandsire.
I honestly still think there is something up with the litter as this little female has almost a maltese bite. She looks shih tzu through and through except for her bite . She has a really severe parrot mouth. SO bad in fact that it almost looks like she cannot keep her tongue in her mouth. She is living with my niece now and we love her tons as does my niece papers or not :-)
