Some of mine have the mucus up to 4 days before. . I never saw any blood though. Then their temp will go up and down too. Mine will lock in at about 97 -98 and then it's time. ( not always the case)
Mine will go off food the day they are going to have pup. Also sometimes they have a gooie dark poop the day of. Good luck
