Love Little Lida

I don't know if she will be ok or not in the end and hope I'm not putting her through something awful for nothing. I've never seen anything look so painful but she doesn't seem to be in physical pain unless the bandages are off. I miss my friends and their encouragement, especially now that things are leveling off. I could still lose her any time and if she won't heal - I don't even want to think about that happening. Thanks everyone for caring, I have been reading the posts and have found comfort there. I just hope I've done the right thing by her and for her and haven't been selfish, sometimes it's hard to know the difference. The vet is still cautious but willing to do whatever it takes to get her through this. I will keep everyone posted on her progress personally, thanks julz for helping out so very much, and redvett for all the concern, sorry I haven't kept more in touch with my other friends like megan, yorkierose, brosie, whispersmom, and everyone else, I feel badly for that but you have all been with me through this and in my heart.
Windy....
Your giving her a chance...a real chance... These yorkies are tough little fighters...she will fight this too... You just give that baby tons and tons of love...
Right now she is sore..and I imagine like a person who has lost a limb...this hurts and there is also phantom pain...
She needs soft places to lay...tons of Dingo bones to chew..and I pray that she will heal....I know your doing everything you can for that baby girl...
****
We have a soldier in our unit..injured last year..triple amputee...his limbs took time to heal...and then after ..very sensitive...
Once that healing has happened..and that will take time...We can work on Lida a built up boot to help her walk....
I remember seeing that made for a dog once..we can certainly do that for Lida...
Frustration is the challenge..I understand that...she wants to move..but it hurts.. makes me wonder if a light weight splint on her forleg with Padding on the bottom would help her balance...yet not touch her healing leg....
***My son had one of those while waiting for swelling in his broken arm to go down before they casted him.***
Its split down the middle...opens up and closes around the leg and you keep it on by an ace bandage wrapped around...
The bottom which will extend to where her foot should be.....cover with a thick sock at the end..and take that off so it can air some when she rest..

Gosh...any help or anything I can do...please just ask...

Hugs and prayers being sent to you and Lida........
Lida is so lucky to have the Mommie she does....
