I own several yorkies and some will work on the elastic until they get it out or their lovely friends will pull out the elastic while playing. I recommend only put in elastic if you have nothing else to use or if you are getting ready for a show. I recommend for every day use soft cloth bands that you can use on little kids............. If your dog does not like her hair up you might have to trim the very few hairs above the eyes. That will hold back the other.
