It is a complete full Surgery and anytime your dog goes under anesthesia for any reason their is great risks. I will tell you they do try to figure out what happened to their tail after having that long, with that said yes I have had it done before.
I would not want to do it again. She did fine, I was the one that was bothered by it.
They are actually quite cute when they have their tails.
