The dog looks beautiful. If the price is very high and they have other yorkies priced super cheap because they are bigger then yes it's a way to get MORE $$money$$ I personally dont have a problem with people saying the word teacup just to let you know that its smaller than the standard 4-7 lbs. The problem I have is seeing Sale Ads advertising Teacups for $2,000 & up and charging $750 for another one of the same litter that is bigger...
I have a 3 lb 4 yr old that is considered a "teacup" because of his small size.It doesnt make him any cuter or more desirable because of that name in my eyes..
If your friend has the money to pay whatever price they are asking ...I could only give my advice and tell her to make sure the dog has a full health checkup first.
