If you noticed on their page, it says,

Some people buy AKC dogs without breeding rights, breed them anyway, and register them with one of the alternative registries. This is one of the biggest problems I have with the other registries. It is also very misleading because it sounds like the puppies are AKC and the breeder is an AKC breeder when perhaps only a few of the adults may have been once been registered with the AKC. You have to ask yourself, why would an AKC breeder use one of the other registries? Your point is valid though, just because a breeder is an AKC breeder, this alone, does not make him a good breeder.
