I never like giving drugs unless they are necessary but it sounds like he is in pain and they might just help. I just would make sure they are in his best interests. I think just having your attention and you being there and cuddling him, napping with him even is great. Buddha didn't cry after his surgery but he was sore and he tried to lick the incision. We used a onesie on him and it was great. I hate those cone collars....they make a dog so depressed. I mena how uncomfortable would that be? I cannot imagine wearing that after being through a surgery.....!!! |
