My Yorkies have not seemed to have pain from the surgery, but Piper got almost frantic after having anesthesia. He was so agitated that he couldn't rest, and was walking around every-which-way, bumping into walls and furniture. The vet said that wasn't unusual and it would wear off in time. I put him on his leash and took him outside and just let him walk around. After what seemed like forever, but was really about two hours, he either got tired enough to rest, or had worn off the after-effects. Meanwhile, being outside distracted him enough that he seemed less frantic. It may help your baby to try that too. |
