Hi there and welcome to YT. I was angry about that statement too. Nobody should ever compare a animal to a car.

It is always tragic when a beloved pet becomes serious ill. However, it is up to the owner to take care of the animal and do what is best for the creature. I am not keen on giving it up because of the dog being sick. People make it work everyday , and will do anything in their power for a pet. Even if it is a financial sacrifice.
