I know it is scary but as long as you trust your vet and they do the preop blood work and are familiar with small dogs she should do just fine. Roxie was just spayed 10 days ago so I know what you are going through. Roxie is 11 months and 4 lbs and she did fine. It is better to get her done before she goes into heat. Roxie was scheduled at 8 months for her spay but came into heat 3 days prior and then had a false pregnancy so 7 1/2 months is a good age to get it done. I will keep Sadie in my prayers.
