..calling for hotel reservations for Gustav? We're leaving early because Mom and Dad's health is too bad to get stuck in all the trafic. The Governor has already called a State of Emergency for Texas and voluntary evacs will begin in the morning and mandatory sunday if the storm stays on predicted path. This time I will have the laptop to keep up with things. Hoping Gizmo and Bubba travel well.
Nathan (grandson) had his checkup in Houston yesterday and is back on a monitor for now. The hospital there said he needs to be in Houston during all this so they are making preperations for son and his family to be there.
Guys, keep a close watch on this storm. It's supposed to be a cat 3 when it does make landfall. If it turns away at the last minute, great..but can't take a chance with my parents. |
