Dezi doesn't like too much handling. She never did. Only on her terms which isn't often. She's an independent. Cassie is young enough that I am trying to make sure I don't turn her off to affection. I forced it on Dezi and it backfired. I think that's part of why she turned away from it. Cassie is showing signs of needing to be independent and when I try to hug her she doesn't like to be restrained. So I wait till she comes to me. It seems to be working.
