I warm them up in a bowl in the microwave for 1 minute; this defrosts them and warms them. I cut them into small pieces with a kitchen scissors, and I think this make them easier to digest. Funny when you said she got hefty during training, cause that's when Joey packed on the weight too. I had to keep making the treats more tempting in order to get him to do the trick. You right they sure are stubborn; they really do have a mind of their own. Now I just use his regular food or a small portion of green bean for treats and can train him with that. Good luck!
