Cash has been doing this too! Ever since I stopped working and am home during the day, he will come and sit with me and just stare into my eyes. If I make a sound, he will lick me until I am soaking wet. If I watch tv lying down, he lies on my chest and stares at me, for ever. It freaks me out a bit too.
Since I have only been home for two weeks, I think he is trying to make sure that I am really here and that his eyes aren't lying to him.
Ps. As I read this thread, he was sitting on my lap and when I laughed he licked me like crazy. Now he is lying on my arms as I type - very tricky. I guess he is just glad his mom is home
