Thank you guys for all of your ideas.. It is nice to hear that TJ isn't the only one. I have bought the Kong toys and they work. I also found some of the toys for large dogs work with him. (They are made of heavier stuff.)
As far as tennis balls go.... they are furless. I have never seen a dog de-fuzz a ball before. At first I thought there must be something wrong with it.. so I put it up and got him a different one.. when I checked to see what he was doing.. the new tennis ball had a bare spot and he had a pile of fuzz beside him. they can look so innocent, can't they.
He is doing better with the big dog toys and the kongs. And for that i am thankful. He loves playing with the rope toys too (for big dogs). I haven't gotten up the nerve yet to try the bully stick. (I was going to until I found out what they are.) But I am thinking about it. LOL
