Ya know, I often wonder why we seem to do so many yorkies at the groom shop I work at and I have come to the conclusion because my four are always there with me at work. It just INFURIATES me how some people will look at one tiny mat and shave the whole dog! Unfortuantely there really is no way to tell if you like a groomer with trying them out. And to the last comment that groomers aren't always nice with the dogs they groom. Unfortuantely that too is true with a lot of groom shops. If the groomer will not let you see their ENTIRE shop, STAY AWAY!!! A good groomer will let you see the entire shop and most groomers don't mind you watching either. Yes, you standing there does make your furbaby more wiggly and a little more difficult to groom, but a good groomer will understand your concern and not mind if you want to stand there and watch the first couple of times. I wish you luck in finding a new suitable groomer or learning how to groom your own baby! It really is easy with a little practice.
