When they are puppies they love to chew, and some of this biting is due to teething. When Joey was doing this, I just pushed my hand further in his mouth, and said, "No bite." You don't choke them, but you assertively push you hand further in their mouth when biting and say, "No bite". It works really well. Always give them an appropriate substitute.
