As most of you know, Miko is liver compromised and needs bloodwork, urine samples/analysis, fecal tests, etc. on a regular basis....
A few years ago, I used to take Miko to Banfield for bloodwork, urinalysis/urine cultures, etc. and then I would take all of that info to our regular vet and specialist. For me, at the time, this was economically better b/c I was only paying around $30 a month for the bloodwork instead of $200 each time I had to have blood drawn/analyzed and $60 each time I had to have urine samples taken/analyzed...This plan included 2 or 3 blood panels/CBCs, 2 or 3 urinalyses/urine cultures, 2 or 3 fecal samples, heartworm testing, etc.
Also, the vet that we had at Banfield during that time was really nice and loved Miko...
I no longer do this, but it was good at the time that we had it...
JMHO, but I would not have Banfield as a regular vet because it is much more impersonal if you don't get a good vet...Also, if your dog needs anything other than what is included in the plan, the prices are much, much higher than other vet offices...
Like I said, I only used this place for bloodwork, urine samples/analysis, and fecal tests and vet was super nice...BUT Miko would see his regular vet and specialist on a regular basis...
