If you are from MN too just ask her for her address and drive up there. Tell her that you "live close by" and you would like to see your puppy. If she is legit than I don't see why she would not accept you to make a house visit. If she is uncomfortable with you coming to her house than ask her to meet you with the puppy somewhere close (where ever she's comfortable to meet you). This is in case you have found no info about her online or anywhere else. Check with the vets in her vicinity (maybe they know her) and can give you some info.
