My Jackson just had the same thing. My vet said he would probably have to do 2 surgeries and a sonogram. I did not like the sound of that! So I called 4 different vets! All 4 agreed (without seeing him) that all dogs have 2 testicles and they always find them. All said a sonogram is a waste of time and way to charge extra money. I finally decided to leave my vet and chose one who was trained at University of Pennsylvania. She examined him and told me should could feel it in his thigh. She did the surgery a week later and she made 2 tiny incisions. He went home the same day! But it cost me plenty as I live in CT and everything costs so much here! It was about $500.
