I don't use my slow cooker much so I need so advice from someone who uses theirs......I'm making a type of chili mac dish in a slow cooker because I don't want to get the kitchen hot, typically I put it in the oven......

Can I put the elbow macaroni in the slow cooker UNCOOKED?....will it cook in just 4 hours? I'm afraid it will over cook if I put it in cooked for four hours. Thanks for any help....
