Oh my gosh, that's terrible!!
I remember the first time I got highlights from a salon, before I ever attempted them myself. I went in after school (I was about 15) and she put the rubber cap on my head, mixed up some stuff, and had me sit under the dryer. She kept checking, and it still wasn't lightening. It was about 2 hours later when she finally took it off (because she was closing!) and you honestly couldn't tell there was a difference at all. She told me I could come back the next day and she'd do it again for free, and even after that there was barely a difference. Then I thought it's time to take matters into my own hands!
