She put off getting a puppy for 2 years while my grandad was in a nursing home. She wanted to spend as much time as possible with my grandad and knew it wouldn't be fair to a dog. Simon now lives with another aunt of mine. She and my cousin weren't able to be here much through the whole ordeal and taking Simon gave them a lot of comfort. We were all crazy about him, but he gets a lot more one on one attention with them.

I would like to point out that there are dogs that originally came with high price tags sitting in rescues and shelters. How much someone pays for a dog has nothing to do with how commited they will be to the dog. Didn't Paris Hilton just rehome like 17 of her high priced pet shop puppies. JMO, but if you have to work hard and save for something you will appreciate more, than if it was given to you or you are able to slap the cash down without a second thought.

im sorry if this is kinda off topic but is that true?? did she rehome 17 dogs?! that is crazy!!
