I think that is probably true. My husband was raised by a Mother who seems to love animals more than her own grandchildren! She's not really very nice to anyone, but she loves our dogs! haha
You won't find a nicer person than my Sister in law. She's a 4th grade teacher and an excellent one at that, but she is NOT a dog person. She's sweet to Abby and Daisy, but they are not welcome in her house and I respect that.
They just got a little beagle for my nieces and nephew. That little darling will live outside
I hate it and I wish she would change her mind, but that's just the way she is. I doubt she ever had a dog growing up.
