I am sure he will be just fine, but so not think the humping will stop after the surgery. It does not. Hefner was neutered by the breeder before I go him at 12 weeks and he humps all the time.
Chai just went through her first heat and he tried to hump her constantly. My standard poodle who is also fixed was very interested in her and wouldn't leave her alone. He is too big to hump her but her kept licking her and sniffing her all over. She liked the attention for a while and then she got irritated. LOL
You mentioned your family doesn't want you to neuter him. Why are you doing it if I might ask....is he a behavior problem with "marking" because that doesn't always get better either if they are in the habit of it? I hope I am not prying.
