So proud of my baby! But... So I've had my little Roxy for about a week and a half now, and I've put so much time and effort into potty training her, and it's worked! So far it's been 3 days with out any accidents!! I'm so excited and proud of her, especially after all I've read about how hard Yorkies are to potty train. Roxy is only 12 weeks old and she could already hold it through the night when we got her, and it's at least 7 or 8 hours! We were worried about leaving her at home alone, so we brought her out to the mall with us as we HAD to do some errands and I was really worried because she hadn't been to the bathroom since about 10am, and we were leaving around 1pm. Well, she was a little angel the entire day in her bag, and barely made a peep! We didn't get home until 8:30pm and she held it the entire time! We took her out a couple of times to the parking lot to have some food, drink, and to go to the bathroom, but she won't go if it's not on our own deck. How can I get her to go to the bathroom some place else other than where she's used to? Right now she hasn't had her second set of shots yet, so I haven't been taking her on walks, could that be the reason why she won't pee on anything else other than our deck?
Also, she's not used to grass at all, whenever I've tried to put her on the grass all she does it try and eat it and play in it, so I'll always take her away cuz I don't want her to get sick if she eats it. Will she? |
