As some of you know I was working like a mad dog to finish my Grand Nephew's Christening gown. I will never have any of my own grandchildren so I wanted to do something special for my sister's first grandson!
I made the gown in a very soft swiss batiste. The outter skirt is made of a sheer voile.
I had an "H" embroidered on the chest for their family name. She wanted this to become an heirloom gown.
I made a matching bib and blanket and hanging bag.
ON the hem of the skirt lining i had embroidered the Bible verse
Mat 5:16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven. ...
its white on white so they couldnt photo it. on the back of the hem it said made with love by Auntie Tink
Here is my lil stinker after his Christening. I see he "christened" his gown in what looks to be sweet potatos...lol
Villette knows this lil guy cus she made the cutest labels with is face on it.
His name is Brody Cole and he just turned 7 months.
I get to stay with him for 3 days next month! I cant wait!!!
