We are first time puppy owners as well, so I understand your nervousness! We picked our little girl up last week when she was 12 weeks old, and she had three of her four puppy shots (I don't remember what they are, but I think distemper and parvo vaccinations are part of them). She'll be going back to see her vet at 16 weeks for her rabies, then a couple weeks later we'll go back for her 4th puppy shot. She was also microchipped when we got her.
You might also want to do a search for puppy vaccinations or shots--I know there have been some good threads in the past about what a breeder should provide. Good luck! |
