Unfortunately puppies chew. The best way to prevent damage is to never let them out of your sight. I know it can be a pain, but if they are out of their 'safe' area you really need to always have them in your sight. My DH has learned this the hard way with Gracie Ruth. However, it is me that has paid the price. He doesn't always watch her as closely as he should and she has chewed up one of my scrapbooks and one of my puzzle books. So although G did the chewing...DH got the "chewing out".

They just can't help themselves. You can buy some spray to put on the things she's already decided she likes to chew on. Bitter Apple works well for me. But generally is will just make her look for something new to start chewing on. Truly the only way to prevent it is to totally keep your eye on her. Good luck!!
