I'm dating a Swede and have fallen in love with Sweden - king "Oscar" was a well-know Swedish/Norwegian monarch from the late 1800's, and it's my boyfriend's middle name.
Should things not work out between us, I think my pup kind of looks like Oscar the Grouch, which would be another suitable explanation
