My little Misty is about 8# now, and she is 8 months old. I wanted a larger one seeing as how mch problems I had with my little 3# one. My vet told me I would be much happier, as they don't have as much problems as the little ones. He said if my 3# one had broken a leg, it is almost impossible to fix.
And, even at 8# they are small dogs.
