Thank you everyone for your hugs and special thoughts. It's been a long, tough week but all went well under the circumstances. The service for my MIL was awesome. You would have thought their was a party going on in the Chapel with all of the laughter. We have over 60 people, which is a lot considering she was 91 years old and outlived most of her family and friends. My husband has been a firefighter for almost 40 years and we used the fire departments Chaplin for the service. He was absolutely the best I have ever heard and you would have thought he had known Barb his whole life. After the service, the rep from the funeral home came up to me and told me this was the best service he had ever attended in all of his years in the business. His eyes were red with big tears in them and I thought for sure he was going to start bawling. He told me it moved him so much he wished he would have known Barb. What a compliment.

The worst part, or the best....was at the burial yesterday when the bagpiper played "Amazing Grace". Of course...you can't get through that without blubbering like a little baby. But it went well and now we will concentrate on setting something up for my Mom. She requested no services, so it will be easy with no pressure or hurry. Just a small. intimate, close family service.

Again...thank you for your support. My family and I appreciate it.
