I've been using Open Office for a few months now. I reformatted my computer and I have to send my boyfriend's hours into his boss every week on a time sheet that his boss already had made up. He made the spreadsheet for the hours in Microsoft Excel and I had completely forgot whenever I went to reformat. I went ahead and downloaded Open Office and it's awesome! It still opens the Microsoft Excel file and lets me edit it and everything. I'm assuming it will be the same way for what you're wanting.
Whenever you download it, it will ask you what files you want to associate it with (IE: Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word, etc)! It's a really nifty program compared to the high prices of the other. |
