My Gwen would throw a complete and utter screaming fit the entire time she was in her kennel, even though it was on my bedside table, pointed at me, with a super soft snugglie blanket....she would scream for HOURS, literally all night long. I think the breeder I got her from kept her in a kennel pretty much 24/7 and then when I got her she was always in my arms or with my other dogs. I opted for a large plastic tote large enough to block out my fan's air and put a little pillow and a puppy pad in it (it was a VERY large tote) that worked for like 4 weeks b/c I could just pet her, but then she figured out if my hand was in there she could CLIMB OUT using my arm!
Then she learned to JUMP out and onto the bed....so I just put a little diaper on her and she's happy snuggled up on her snugglie blanket on the head of the bed....99% of the time she doesn't even use the diaper, but I feel better knowing it's on her since she has devised her own system to get down from the bed. Lol. She never ceases to amaze me!
That's just what I did, but all of my dogs sleep in my room and hop in bed with us after we're asleep then go back to the floor when we start waking up "They'll never know we were up here!" is what they think I swear! Lol.
