Harley's like that too. I taught him a couple tricks and commands and made the same mistake of using only food treats. But I've gotten smarter than him and figured out that if I close my hand and rub my thumb across my pointer finger to show that I apparently have a treat in my hand he'll do his trick or command and I'll reward him w/ a rub down or w/ the clicker training I've been working him w/. I think you'll see over time they will eventually learn to do the tricks w/o all the treats!
