(Cliff notes)She worked forever for Cannon Mills which turned into Pillowtex. My aunt and her husband were both told their jobs were of no more. So they both got no severance pay or anything along with thousands of others. My aunt then when back to college and got her degree in Respiratory Therapy . She was a offered a job working 12 hours in a hospital (yippie) only to find out because of the 30+ years working on a hard floor had done its damage to her and she was forced to go on disability
My aunt has had a rough road with alot of unfair turns. I am glad to see something great come out of what was so bad.
Obama was told my aunts story and he asked her to come and open for him last week in Raleigh and she accepted. She got a call last night saying was being asked to something national and she thought a tv add but the Obama rep so think bigger and said you are requested to come to the convention and speak for all to hear your story.
