Default York-sherr Man

Hi, all

I'm in the UK, and my husband is a Yorkshireman born and bred - that is, York-sherr. Since this is the county after which YTs were named, I can assure you that York-sherr is the correct pronunciation.

Yorkshire is a Shire county (pronounced shy-er), but is always spoken of with the -sherr suffix. Hope this helps?
