Okay this thread is upsetting. Some people think the tinier the better. My little Gidget was 2.2 lbs. and her Mother (she was 2.5 lbs) almost died when she gave birth to Gidget. The individual that sold Gidget to me made me promise to have Gidget spayed and of course my Vet said it was a must! The Male was 3 lbs btw. It wasn't an intentional breeding and Gidget was the only pup she ever had.
I paid $150 for Gidget (almost 16 years ago) and she was AKC registered. I hate to think what one that size would go for today. |
